Main cycling routes:

Vážska cyklomagistrála – This long-distance route connects central and upper Považie with Kysuce and is linked to the Czech system of cycling routes (Trenčín). The route leads from Piešťany via Trenčín to Žilina, following the picturesque valley of the Váh River. Along the way, you will pass historical monuments such as Beckov Castle, the pilgrimage site of Skalka, and many charming villages. Green trail through Omšenie – It starts in Trenčianska Teple, passes through the spa town of Trenčianske Teplice, Omšenie, and Dolná Poruba to the Homôlka chalet with a total elevation of 550 m. This panoramic trail combines cultural attractions with natural beauty.

Považský Inovec Mountains – Považský Inovec offers countless technical possibilities, from XC test circuits to easy, moderately difficult, and very demanding trails (restartnisa). The ridge route through Považský Inovec is a challenging 160-kilometer circuit with beautiful panoramic views (Marki), suitable for experienced mountain bikers.

DIVO trails in Brezina Forest Park – Located in Trenčín’s Brezina Forest Park, these trails offer various levels of difficulty, from beginner flow trails to technical challenges (Trenčín). The unique forest DIVO trails start right in the center of Trenčín (Trencin2026), making them easily accessible.

Popular routes from Omšenie:

• To Trenčianske Teplice (5 km) – An easy ride to the historic spa town
• Route to Trenčín Castle – The route from Trenčín Castle via Nemšová to Brumov is more than 30 km long and connects two castles across two countries (Najsport).
• Homôlka Circuit (approx. 50 km) – A more challenging route leading through Trenčianske Teplice, Omšenie, and Dolná Poruba to Homôlka, with a return via a picturesque descent (Bikermania).
